Interaction Designer (Game Designer)
Waterford Institute, an educational software company in Salt Lake City, UT, is looking for a highly creative individual to join our team in developing innovative learning products.
This unique full-time position requires a strong understanding of designing games/activities, user interfaces, and navigation schemes for young children. The Interaction Designer will work closely with other interaction designers, educational content designers, graphic artists, sound designers, programmers, the evaluation/usability team, and children to design and prototype projects.
This position requires:
§ 2+ years experience developing interactive products (with emphasis on user-centered design principles for children)
§ A degree in interaction design, game design, education, or a technology-related field
§ Advanced familiarity with a variety of HCI & multimedia concepts, practices, and procedures
§ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
§ Proven experience in leading a team and working in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere
§ Strong attention to detail
§ Knowledge of graphics software and tools (Flash knowledge helpful)
