Design Science is a rapidly growing consultancy. We specialize in medical product research and the design of embedded electronic interfaces. We use a unique, ethnographic approach to analyze how professionals and laypeople use medical devices and other technology in everyday life. Our research helps our clients design their products to meet real needs and to improve the quality of health care. We are recruiting creative researchers to take part in exciting new projects.
Scope of Work:
Researchers participate in every aspect of our projects: doing background research and designing the project itself; conducting ethnographic fieldwork; analyzing fieldnotes, video and interview data; and taking part in presenting findings to our clients. This work challenges researchers to exercise their intellect and creativity in order to discover new ways to improve health care.
Qualifications:
Candidates for this position must possess proven research expertise, experience in managing projects, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Must have an advanced degree in cultural anthropology, psychology, or related field. 5+ years experience in user research very desirable. First priority will go to candidates with medical/health care research experience.
