Apologies for the amount of information on this posting, I’m currently looking for a number of usability, UI and interaction designers with experience working with mobile platforms, handsets, WAP and 3G content experience. I have both permanent and contract vacancies available.

PERMANENT ROLES
UE Manager Web and Products (GERMANY) – this role is based in Germany and the role holder will manage the design specific areas of the UE products such as a mail and messenger service for a mobile phone company mainly for their web/WAP channels. You will liaise with various internal depts such as visual design, UE portals and terminals to ensure your product is aligned with the rest of the company offerings. The successful candidate will have a university degree in human factors/HCI/Interaction design/ergonomics/IA or related subject. Post grad qualification is preferred. You will have at least 3 years experience in a commercial product/service development environment with a proven track record of successful delivery in the web/wap space. This should include at least 1 year in mobile-related work. The chosen candidate will have an understanding of UI design for PC operating systems (ie Windows), a deep understanding of web technologies including standards like HTML, XML etc and a good knowledge of design and documentation tolls such as visio, powerpoint, flash etc. Experience of user requirements gathering and user testing a must. Start date: ASAP
Interaction designer (London + travel) – This role is London based with a certain amount of travel within the UK and to France. You will be required to prototype and blueprint (flows, analysis, specifications) mobile services. Must have previous experience of mobile UI interaction design. Additional experience in mobile development (java, symbian,
flash) would be a great benefit though not essential. My client is a leading global operator and the position is in their global products technology and innovations team. Start date ASAP, Salary dependant upon experience.
Visual Designer (London + travel) – This role like above s London based with travel in the UK and abroad. Your role will be concerned with the design of mobile applications (icons, screens, flows, style direction, guideline creations) and previous experience within the mobile space is an absolute. Start date: ASAP, salary dependant upon experience
CONTRACT ROLES
Handset UI Specification role (London + worldwide travel) - My client is a global operator and they are forward planning for a role their envisage to be signed off in the coming few months. We are looking for an experience interaction/UI designer who has experience managing UI specific design. The role holder will have at least 5 years commercial experience with no less than 2 years previous experience in a handset UI specification design position. Start date: TBC, salary £280 to £375 per day depending on experience
Usability Specialist (London) – My client is looking for a usability generalist who has experience working across a range of platforms to include web, WAP, mobile, portals and software. You will be at least degree educated in a HCI related discipline and have a proven track record is requirements gathering, testing and managing external agencies to deliver research, results, interpretation and recommendations action.
The role will be 1 or 3 months in length and this is likely to be a rolling project/contract. Start date: October, salary: between £250 – 370 per day.
UE Manager, concepts and innovation (London) – Global telecommunications firm currently seeking several UE managers to start on a rolling project beginning first week in October. We are looking for a mixture of skills that will encompass user research, testing and analysis and interaction design. The role is concerned with future services and products in the mobile industry. The contract length is likely to be 1 month rolling with a estimate of a minimum of 6 months. Start date: October. Salary:
£250 per day
Customer Experience Manager, Portals and Content (London) - Mobile operator currently looking for a customer experience specialist who has proven experience working on mobile portals and content applications.
Ideally you will have worked with entertainment products such as music, games, sports channels at a content provider or another mobile operator or manufacturer.
