Complete Description:
Project Background/Description of Duties:
The manager is looking for a Usability Expert with at least 5 years experience to provide the following services:
1. Heuristic Evaluation - review applications and websites against industry standards for usability; analyze results and provide recommendations.
2. Informal and Formal Usability Testing - facilitate user tests to gauge the usability level of applications and websites; analyze results and provide recommendations.
3. Field Studies/Ethnographic Research and Analysis - study the user in their work environment and provide recommendations for software user interface or workflow development/revision.
4. User, Task, and Workflow Analysis - gather user demographic, task, and workflow information; analyze data and provide recommendations.
5. Information Architecture - assist in development of information structures for software processes and user interfaces
Candidate must be very familiar with each of these processes and have at least 5 years experience.
Additional Requirements:
Candidate must also possess basic but solid Project Management skills, including the following:
1. Requirements Gathering
2. Project Planning
3. Cost Estimating
4. Risk Identification and Analysis
5. Change Management
6. Client Relationship Management
Client Relationship Management is key for this position, as the usability group has a high level of client interaction. Ability to effectively manage client relationships in a professional manner is required.
