User Interface Developer
McGill University
As part of an "Undersea Window" project
(www.cim.mcgill.ca/sre/projects/ciip), McGill University's Ultra-Videoconferencing research group is developing a front-end to their software for session management of uncompressed high-definition video streaming, remote camera control and display of other sensory data.
Your tasks will involve iterative design of the user interface, development, testing, and integration with other components of the system. You will cooperate with closely with a graduate student on various aspects of the project, as well as a web services programmer, who will implement the underlying functionality that is exposed through the user interface.
The position will run for one year, commencing October 1, 2005.

Qualifications
- experience in user interface design, user testing methodology, and software development
- a B.Sc. or B.Eng. in computer science, computer engineering, psychology, or a related field, with an emphasis on HCI or human factors
- excellent interpersonal skills
- excellent written and verbal communications skills
- legal right to work in Canada
