The U.S. Bank User Experience Group has an opening for a motivated and collaborative Information Architect.
Qualifications:
· Three or more years of work experience, including at least one year as an Information Architect or similar occupation · Two or more years of experience in a Web development environment, either with an agency or in-house · Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, Interactive Design, HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Information Science or related area is preferred · Demonstrated understanding of and proficiency in leveraging an industry-standard development methodology such as the Rational Unified Process · Experience working with business line strategists and business analysts to conduct modeling sessions for elicitation of business features and high-level system models · Competency with software tools such as Photoshop, Visio, Homesite, Dreamweaver, etc.
· Experience working with large sites or in the financial services industry is a plus · Experience with Microsoft Project and the Rational suite of requirements tracking and documentation tools is a plus
Job responsibilities:
· Represent the User Experience Group on internal project teams, with responsibility for ensuring projects meet U.S. Bank’s enterprise standards while satisfying user desires · Evangelize the user to a fault at all stages of the development process · Lead by example with the use of U.S. Bank’s process and development methodologies.
· Help plan, conduct and manage usability tests and other research · Distill collected business/content requirements into focused, understandable and actionable deliverables such as user assessments, navigation diagrams, page types, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, etc.
· Assist in the ongoing definition of U.S. Bank’s evolving user experience standards · Help develop low fidelity and interactive prototypes for end user usability testing · Work with project managers and developers to influence the product based on user feedback received during field studies or usability tests · Manage relationships and build consensus with project teams, vendors and business line partners · Report project status to UXP management and project managers · Represent U.S. Bank in a positive and professional manner internally and externally at all times
