ProClarity is currently seeking a Senior User Experience Specialist. This position will provide leadership in the user interface design effort for the next generation of business intelligence (BI) products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the user-centered design process, experience designing Web-based applications and leadership skills to drive the design through to completion.
Responsibilities:
•Translate product vision and requirements into simple, elegant and usable designs •Lead the overall design for complex Business Intelligence solutions •Define the user model, workflow and interaction design for future products •Clearly communicate designs through storyboards, prototypes, UI specifications or other means •Help gather user feedback on designs through human factors techniques •Coordinate with graphic designers on visual design and branding
Required Qualifications:
•5 or more years of user-centered design experience in the software industry •Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors or similar field •Effective in designing for the web (with all of its limitations and
nuances)
•Proven success in leading the UI design effort for large projects •Excellent usability facilitation skills •In-depth understanding of various web technologies (JavaScript, Java, Flash, etc.) •In-depth knowledge of Windows application design •US Resident – ProClarity will not be sponsoring any H1-B Visas.
Desired qualifications:
•Familiar with Business Intelligence (BI), multidimensional data and OLAP technologies •Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design methodologies •Experience in data visualization and graphical representations of information
