Position Title: Web Analyst

SUMMARY
Analytics, Trending, & Benchmarking | KPI Definition | Reporting Implementation & Support
Fry takes an integrated approach to Web analytics. Web analysts assist and foster Fry design teams’ perpetual curiosity as to what might work best for our clients’ customers. Our Web analysts work with available data such as log files and reports to analyze, identify, and help solve problems or enhance aspects that are working well on our clients’ Web sites.
This position will focus on both reporting service implementations as well as Web analytics (e.g., marketing, merchandising, and customer usage behaviors). Additionally, the Web Analyst will require an understanding of Web strategy and design as well as competitive and consumer research principles.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead reporting service (e.g., WebTrends, Omniture, Coremetrics, etc.) definition and implementations as well as provide on-going reporting service support
• Work closely with project teams to understand clients’ business models, channel efforts, marketing programs, business goals, and key measurements
• Assist clients in defining measurement strategy, vision, and on-going process to support their business objectives and improve their decision making
• Provide insight and actionable recommendations for improving our clients’ customer experience, marketing, merchandising, and content
• Develop and conduct training on Web analytics and reporting service tool with clients
• Share findings and best practices with team and company
• Provide thought leadership in Web analytics and research; areas of focus include: customer insight, benchmarking, and industry updates
• Extend client relationships
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• Passion for data and degree work in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Psychology, HCI, Mathematics, or related area strongly preferred
• Thorough understanding of online analytics metrics, terminology, and leading analytics tools such as WebTrends, Omniture, WebSide Story, and/or Coremetrics
• Proficient in using Excel to analyze, manipulate, and interpret data
• Detail-oriented with excellent analysis skills; able to dig into data, perform analysis, and ensure accuracy
• Very strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills (e.g., written and oral) up to the senior VP level
• Strong knowledge of site design and usability principles, issues, and techniques as well as good understanding of statistical analysis techniques
• 3+ years of related experience in any of the following areas: ecommerce metric analysis; reporting service/software support; and/or retail, consumer package goods, and/or manufacturing industry experience
• Demonstrated history of successfully working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, dynamic environment
