Information Architect

AKQA has an immediate need for a talented, energetic Information Architect to work with Designers and Developers in building rich interactive experiences. You are passionate about creating and defining the behavior of user experiences across multiple product platforms. You create and design elegant and purposeful solutions that integrate visual design, content design, good usability practice and technical feasibility.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with art directors, strategists, programmers and copywriters to ensure that project goals are met and surpassed across all disciplines

* Produce wireframes, sitemaps and functional specifications as part of the collaborative design process

* Conduct and analyze user research and form conclusions and recommendations based on this research

* Present your ideas and design solutions to clients

* Brief creative and technical teams

Qualifications:

* 5 years in interactive media and at least 3 years proven experience as an Information Architect

* An understanding of platform constraints, browsers and accessibility guidelines

* Strong conceptual ability and a good design sense as well as a thorough knowledge of technology

* Previous client contact & excellent presentation skills

* Creative toolset expertise (Illustrator, Visio, OmniGraffle etc.)

* A strong portfolio that demonstrates core IA skills across a variation of site styles. Please be prepared to show examples of your work - not only the final site/product, but also the sitemap, schematics and detailed functional specifications used to produce it

* Detail oriented with the ability to function in a fast paced deadline-driven environment

* Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment

* BA in multimedia/design or equivalent
