This role is to create the information architecture for the evolution of our clients online comparison service and implement various changes to enhance their site. The successful candidate will encompass a range of disciplines, usability, copy, accessibility, as well as site structure and navigation schemes.
· Understand Business Requirements
· Work with the Product team to define the design implications
coming from the business requirements.
· Use diagrams and schematics (screen and process flows,
wireframes, paper prototypes) to clarify areas of uncertainty.
· Draft design briefs (i.e. an outline of the impact to the
information architecture and the graphic design, and detail of upcoming tasks).
· Create wireframes, screenflow diagrams and User Interface
Documentation.
· Draft documentation that will be used to sign off on the
exact functionality and user interface changes.
· Define the low level scope with a technical architect, based
on the wireframes.
· Support drafting of screen comps and functional
specifications
· Work with graphic designers to translate wireframes into
final screen designs.
· Assist with the definition of low-level interaction and the
functional details for a functional specification, which will be used by the tech team in implementation.
· Implementation support
· Ongoing QA to ensure implementation reflects the business
requirements and design documentation.
· Respond to tech team requests for additional clarification on
documentation and/or unforeseen problems with the specified design.
· Ongoing Information Architecture support
· Maintain a holistic and detailed view of the design for the
entire site.
· Create and maintain the documentation for the user interface.
· Ensure consistency in interaction design, naming systems,
navigational elements.
Evolve the information design in response to the demands.
