Information Architect
The Information Architect works closely with our internal clients to translate business rules and practices into functional requirements for large or small, media-rich, web-based projects. Merging various disciplines such as UI Design, Development, Usability, Strategy, Systems Integration, and Information Science, you are responsible for executing the structure and user experience of the project
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct end user needs assessment and task analysis using appropriate techniques.
Conduct business needs assessment.
Perform heuristic site evaluations and competitive site analysis.
Create and revise information architecture documents including but not limited to; site maps, user profiles, user scenarios, use cases, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams, and detailed functional requirements.
Design information structure and navigation flows for internet, extranet, and intranet sites as well as other online applications.
Presenting, clearly and concisely, various stages of the information architecture development to the client.
Assistin conducting usability testing and other user validation exercises.
Assist in managing updates to current site pages.
Assist with UAT testing.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
5+ years experience working in an Internet consulting environment or in
5+ the
e-business area of a large corporation.
A minimum of 3 years in a role exclusively addressing information architecture (preferably working with complex sites).
Prior IA lead and client interface experience, comfortable working as an individual contributor and / or as a member of a team, across diverse organizations.
Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, and user analysis techniques Worked at strategic as well as tactical level in Information Architecture Familiarity with Content Management systems and portal environments.
Experience with very large enterprise navigation solutions Ability to understand and relate product technology, strategy and direction with business needs.
Strong communication skills and organization skills.
Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, and user analysis techniques.
Work well in a team environment providing leadership in areas of expertise.
Proficiency in VISIO
DESIRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Financial and Insurance industries.
