Amazon.com is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative *Lead Sr. UI Designer* skilled in the areas of visual, user-interface, and web-specific design. You will be responsible for designing the usability and aesthetics of new features for our online retail stores, as well as enhancing the existing shopping experience and developing new and creative ideas. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate superior user interface design, project management, and graphic design skills. Ideally candidates will have e-commerce-specific experience. Your designs will be viewed by our millions of customers and have a sizable impact on our customer experience.

The Lead Sr. UI Designer will also manage a small team of designers. People management experience is an asset.


Qualifications:

--We need a highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic person with a sense of humor and a sharp mind who works well under pressure and can thrive in an atmosphere of rapid development.

--Candidates will have at least 5 years of Web design experience and a solid understanding of the relationship between content, user interface, and technology.

--The ideal candidate will be a persuasive advocate for the end-user---able to educate technical teams on user-centered design principles and direct design reviews and brainstorming sessions with business owners.

--Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, MS Office, HTML, CSS and Visio required. Additional presentation layer coding experience is a definite plus.

--Online portfolio required.
