Description: EVDB, Inc., makers of the Eventful service, is looking for a web user interface guru with a successful track record and passion for designing great user experiences on the web. The ability to implement a design into working XHTML and CSS would be a huge plus.
A typical day might include:
* Designing fantastic user interfaces for EVDB products including our Eventful.com website
* Quickly creating rough sketches for new ideas to help determine initial design direction for new features and products
* Developing high level, and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate designs
* Creating style guides to promote consistency throughout products
* Studying web usage data, statistics, and user feedback in order to improve existing designs
* Converting new designs into XHTML and CSS
* Rapid prototyping of designs for testing and evaluation
* Collaborating with a small product team to explore new feature and product ideas
Contact us only if you have:
* 4+ year college degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related degree or equivalent professional experience
* At least 5 years' professional experience in interaction design for high-traffic, commercial websites
* Strong knowledge of interface design processes, methodology, UI standards, and the UI issues in web applications.
* Self-sufficient with superb organization, exposition and follow-through skills.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong working knowledge of Internet technologies
* Solid dependability and a proven track record we can verify
* Clear, organized writing, communication, and presentation skills
* Ability to provide best-of-breed UI designs without losing sight of the real-world user's need for "fast and simple"
* Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a rapidly-changing environment quickly
* Good interpersonal skills, team cooperation, and a strong results-oriented work ethic
